This region is a great sugar beet's producer. So if you have a sweet tooth, sample here Macaroons (with almond pastry), «Tuiles amiénoises» (strip of chocolate) or still for chocolate's lovers «Griseries» of Beauvais. Two other gastronomic specialities could be noticed : the pâté of duck (Somme) and the picardian «ficelle» (crêpe with ham and crushed mushrooms).
