Saumur is famous for its sparkling wine and also for its liquors like the Triple sec (Combier) and the Guignolet wines. Produced in Angers, the Cointreau is known all over the world.
The region produces also cheeses as the Port-Salut. 

Sarthe is famous for its Rillettes, potted minced pork (Le Mans) and its poultry (Loué).

Maine-et-Loire is a great mushrooms producer and Mayenne continues to manufacture slate ; Vendée remains a privilegiate area for furnitures makery, textile and clothing industry as well as yacht building.
