Le Nord

Extending on the northern half of the Belgian border, this region, as its name indicates, is in the north of France. It is divided into 5 territories:

Lille :

You should visit in Lille with its famous belfry of 105 meters high, the citadel of Vauban, the ancient stock exchange market (of the 17th century), the Rihour’s palace (15th century), the Didé-de-la-Grandville’s mansion (ancient Commissariat of Flanders - 18th century), the Saint-Etienne church (Flemish baroque art of the 17th century) and the fine Arts museum. Cambrai (and its notorious Bêtises).

And all the cities from Quesnoy to Douai, from Bergues to Bavay, Avesnes or Bouvines and also Dunkerque or Zuydcoote are some historical places.

The hiking lovers can make a detour by the forest of Mormal.
