Between the Belgian and the Celtic Gauls, devasted by the Huns beated in the Catalonic fields, Champagne became in the Middle Age an european crossrooads of trades between mediterranean and Flemish countries with its famous fairs.

After, Clovis’ baptism by bishop Rémi, the cathedrale of Reims was devoted to the royal coronation’s ceremony.

At Troyes Bernard de Clairvaux gave to the Templars’ Order its spiritual rule ; one of its founders was Hugues, Earl of Champagne. Champagne still possesses many templars buildings like commanderies, especially around Troyes (Orient’s forest).
