Mâcon :
On the Place aux Herbes, at Mâcon, the Wooden House (with a Renaissance front) is a typical building you should see. The souvenirs of Lamartine, the famous Romantic poet are conserved in the Senecé mansion (1750). Do not miss the decorative arts museum. You should also see the Ursulines museum (ancient convent), the Hôtel-Dieu (ancient hospital built up in 1770) and the old Saint-Vincent district.

From Cluny, it only remains one bell-tower and a part of the transept of the romanesque church. You ought to admire its medieval houses.
